Studies on Rorschach Responses of Korean Old Age

Abstract
1. Rorschach Test was administered to 50 Korean subjects ranged in age from 41 to 55 and the results obtained are:
These figures make us to conclude that there are tendencies of
(1) Degradation of mental productivity
(2) Increased defensive and cautious attitude
(3) Low ability to grasp reality objectively with high distorsion of subjectivity.
(4) Excessive suppression and restriction of emotion.
(5) Excessive tension and self-awareness in interpersonal relationship.
(6) Severe anxiety and internal tension.
(7) Strong impulse to have direct and immediate gratification.
In consequence it can be suggested that Korean old age have the picture of personality traits to develop depression more easily than the old age of foreign country, and that the values obtained in this survey, though it can not be claimed to represent the normal ones of Korean old age because of the non-selected subjects in which some cases of depression appeared to be included, make us enable to draw more marked picture of personality traits those of depression may have with them when they develop it.
